About Fama Foundation

“FAMA FOUNDATION” is a non-profit, public-benefit social organization to raise public awareness in the area of education, health, culture, tourism, and agriculture by identifying, protecting, and promoting biological diversity and natural resources for social, cultural, and economic advancement and mobilizing in the field of community interest and protecting their ancestral traditions, customs, and culture of Mustang Nepal. The organization is established by group of local community for all-round development with the goal of raising the standard of living of the general community through collective skills, business, and empowerment.

FAMA Foundation is located at Kagbeni-4, Varagung Muktichhetra Rural Municipality in Mustang Nepal. The organization bring development activities conducted by the government, non-government and other communities to the members of the organization in a clean, simple, and fast way for social, cultural, and economic progresses and also manage the grants, plans, and programs received from various agencies in the field of upliftment and empowerment of the organization. To strive to raise the standard of living of poor and disadvantaged community members and to conduct self-employment training related to the economic development of members and communities is also objectives.
